Consultation, Supervision & Training in Gambling Disorder Treatment
With over 25 years of experience in gambling disorder treatment, I provide consultation, supervision, and training to clinicians and programs seeking to strengthen their work with individuals affected by gambling problems. My work supports clinicians in developing strong assessment, treatment planning, and recovery strategies for gambling disorder, while also integrating trauma-informed and relational perspectives when clinically relevant.
I work with clinicians supporting individuals who gamble, affected others, and couples impacted by gambling-related harm. Whether you are pursuing gambling certification or expanding your competency in this specialty area, I offer practical case consultation, structured supervision, and professional development support.
As a Board-Approved Clinical Consultant (BACC), I also assist clinicians in meeting certification requirements and advancing their expertise in gambling treatment.
Professional Expertise & Leadership
As a Board-Approved Clinical Consultant (BACC)—the highest level of certification through the International Problem Gambling and Gaming Certification Organization—and an Internationally and California Certified Gambling Counselor, I bring over 25 years of specialized experience in gambling disorder and betrayal trauma treatment.

My consultation and training work is informed by The Relational Gambling Recovery Framework, a model I developed to integrate trauma-informed care, financial stabilization, accountability, and attachment repair into gambling treatment.

My experience includes supervision, curriculum development, program design, and expert consultation in gambling-related cases. I currently serve as Director of the Training Committee and as a Board Member of the California Council on Problem Gambling. I have contributed to the development of intensive outpatient gambling programming and evidence-based treatment models, and I began my career at what was then the nation’s largest outpatient gambling treatment program, where I created a specialized track for escape-oriented gamblers.

Get Started with Training Services
Gambling disorder and betrayal trauma create complex emotional, relational, and financial challenges that are often not fully addressed in standard addiction, trauma, or couples therapy training. Partners may experience a deep loss of safety and trust, while individuals struggling with gambling often face shame, secrecy, and impaired decision-making. Without specialized guidance, clinicians can feel unsure how to support accountability while also protecting emotional and relational safety.

These trainings provide clear frameworks and practical tools for working effectively in this area. The focus is on understanding betrayal trauma and disordered gambling, stabilizing relationships, and guiding clients toward honesty, responsibility, and healthier ways of relating—so clinicians can offer compassionate and clinically sound care.
